Email in mobile phones      contents

Nowdays most cell phones can connect to Internet and have it's own email programms. For example Ericsson T39m has POP3 and SMTP program that was capable to use UTF-8 in email. Due to limited hardware possibilities most legacy character sets/encoding are often not supported.
Similiar situation is with other mobile phones like Ericsson R380s or Sony CMD-Z7.

The same can be said about webmail using mobile phone XHTML browsers.

Many newer mobile phones and devices use Symbian OS. You can read about multilanguage Symbian capabilities on Symbian site.

This document describes what is required for full Lithuanian language support in mobile phones.
